SPA have been using RR style setups since early 07 (back in the original CI and even started just before Priory died - it's simply the best way to fight battleship fleets) so it's nothing new to us... I know A-WAR have a load of experience with RR, and yes, it was pretty standard fare in TRI also. I'd say we have it down quite well.

Little protip to BRUCE (just a hint here, please don't kill me robo) - the navy megas / navy apocs that we fly in fleets are there so you go 'OOOOOOOOH' and primary them.

If you spend 5 minutes trying to down 1 navy mega (bear in mind they probably have slaves, faction hardeners and a damnation in gang) while you lose half your fleet, you're gonna lose. Go for the standard battleships first and switch targets often to break down the remote rep Razz

I hope we get some more interesting fights Smile

Hint: If you can work out which Navy Mega is Maz's ( Go Maz that is ) then primary him, because he doesn't have any of the above and will die pretty quickly. Either that, or jam him the entire fight.

The previous incarnation of CI did precisely the same thing to BRUCE a little over a year ago btw, except BRUCE were in Syndicate (pc9 home system), had alot less skilled pilots, and lost iirc over 100 ships including 2 carriers they had frontlined (pretty sure this was BRUCE's first ever capital losses). That battle rather significantly impacted BRUCE's fleet command and strategies.

CI Gang was around 30 including one oneiros.

Looking at the Bruce gang, they were better off bringing water balloons than sniping gear and jumping into a gate covered by close range BS.

No idea if this part of the forum is closed or not, but Im a big fan so Im just gonna keep posting untill it totally dissapear. Razz

Foutain has been pretty silent the last couple of week, BRUCE are more or less all gone, they lost alot of members and the rest of them have gone to syndicate i think so the region is kinda silent.

CI has just been chilling, taken some moons, hot dropping some random caps sieging low sec posses and so on, some people have even started mining Shocked

Things seem to happen now though, AXE dropped 2 large posses in 7bx yesterday (BRUCE station system, no bruce present though since they have left more or less).
CI put both of them in reinforced with a 15 man gang before they got many mods online and ganked a thanatos, 1st one came out tonight.

Axe + goodfellas brought a 120ish man gang to defend it, we (as in CI) couldnt match those numbers, so we contacted our brosefs in PL and SOT and asked for backup, they are always up for a good fight so we merged our gangs and formed a 140 man fleet.

Axe/goods formed up on our in-gate in 7bx but the PL/SOT/CI gang titan bridged into a friendly pos in 7bx.
Since atleast my corp and the rest of CI are total noobs about 25 or more of our gang didnt manage to use the titan bridge and didnt get into the system, so the fleets were kinda even.
AXE/GOODS decided to jump out though and we followed, they were to fast though so we only caught about 15 or 20 of their BS while hunting them.

We then went back to 7bx and downed their tower, another one is coming out tomorrow evening EU time.

We thaught it would be boring without BRUCE here in fountain but i guess I was wrong, looks like bob is in catch so if they dont come we will most likely have some nice and mid sized engagements here in fountain against AXE/GOODS.

NINJA EDIT: about 100 - 150 dashio syndicate in WY- (npc station system in mid fountain) no idea if they are there to stay and if they are blue to axe/goods though, but if we are lucky fountain might become a sexy threeway Wink

English aint my first language btw, so dont whine about my spelling/grammar Wink

I'd suggest www.eve-gbbs.com since I believe this section of SHC is closing up.

Luck has nothing to do with it sir; fountain just became a sexy three-way Wink

After the plans to move into Fade fell through via some RA cockblocking, it was decided on moving to fountain Smile

e: Sry Nop on the 3-way. Turns out we (DAI) are blue to AXE. Not goodfellas atm though. Well see if that changes.

Quick version (disclaimer, I was gone this weekend, so accuracy is +/- 100%):

"Hey, rest-of-AXE-directors, wanna go take 7BX?"
"Sure, who's bringing towers?"
*several hands go up*
"Cool, op is set. Let's get shiznit in position".

-fast forward a week-

"Okay, start dropping towers in this system, and we'll blow up the bad guys."

-fast forward a bit more-

AXE FC: "Ha! We've got them!"
Scout: "Enormous DAI gang forming up in Core, presumably to gank us. Many moms."
AXE FC: "Ah, fuck. GTFO!"
DAI: "Er, AXE... we were coming to help you."
AXE FC: "Oh."

-fast forward to the present day-
AXE/DAI: "So, who wants to go take <random system>"
"Sure, who's bringing towers?"
*several hands go up*

....
