You're place or mine?

Yeah, a little weak for a battle report, but things are pretty slow. Calm before the storm I guess.

Actually the government structure, lack of solid leadership, and unskilled pvp griefed people into leaving. It was on a path to happen before PL and friends ever arrived so dont get too carried away patting yourself on the back.

Oh it all contributed. IF it wasn't for someone cutting BRUCE in twine and left them alone to carebear it up in peace in Fountain I'm sure they'd mostly still be there, retarded reps and all.

The terrible government and leadership is why it fell apart so quickly.

No one is pretending like it was some fantastic feat of pvp prowess that destroyed BRUCE, like it's some special achievement, but that doesn't make it any less hilarious.

Kicking puppies is fun in EVE.

this is where I disagree, I believe it would have fallen apart anyway without anyone making a play for fountain at all. The FC ranks were in absolute shambles well before PL reset Bruce. I believe we were down to about 4 or 5 senior FCs and a mass of trainees when you guys arrived. Most of the pvp focused FCs were burnout and started quiting. The FCs as a whole always felt rather powerless as they were in a position to "work with what they were given" because the massive inflated rep concil did all the decision making and accepted zero input from FCs who had much more knowledge or what was going on than them. There was internal fighting and bickering well before you took your first moon in fountain. I think Fried and FOOM would have ended up quiting even if you guys never came. He was plain burn out. The monster he had created was beyond his control, and the game was just plain not fun for alot of people with the government type Bruce had.

I was pretty unliked among the reps and my fellow FCS because I was outspoken, told everyone out in the open how shit things were being run and how it would be our undoing, but they wanted to continue pulling the wool over their eyes. With 35 different corps in bruce all with 3 or so reps, it wasnt a concil trying for the betterment of the whole, it was many small groups trying to maintain their piece of the pie. Add that to extremely poor recruitment practices, and complete mass corp recruitment, and the Bruce alliance that was fairly tight nit and strong when it left syndicate, decayed from the inside. This would be the part where I would be screaming out some 'I told you so' if it wasnt so sad. That and most of the people I would say it to have already left.

without external pressure alliances rarely fall apart because of the amount of isk they are pulling in by individual pilots just ratting to corps profiting off of moons and minerals. While Bruce was certainly shaky left alone it most likely would have either kept floundering about or righted the ship and trimmed the fat. Most likely it would have kept floundering about but still remained in fountain.

I think goat pretty much nailed it down. There probably all kinds of reasons why bruce got beating up so badly (bad leadership, bad fc's, bad decisions, bad diplomacy, etc).

Personally I think the large membership caused the downfall. In the end there were simply to many people with different opinions on how the alliance should run.

Having that said I think BRUCE is far from being finished, if serena can rally the remaining membership then I can easily see them rebuild in syndicate.

honestly, I dont see it happening. everyone who lives in syndicate currently, and also several people who left for greener pastures recently (see UN-NAT) really HATE bruce for all their douche baggery of earlier. Im fairly certain that all of us will do everything in our power to prevent BRUCE from ever rebuilding in syndicate.

Not only that but they lost several of their strengths which were propping them up which were
a) absurd numbers of people
b) lots of high end moons

without numbers and the isk to replace thier high losses, BRUCE is a sub par pvp alliance without the funding to replace thier incredibly high loss ratios

Well, it's no mothership but the sequence of events leading to this were mindless to say the least:

http://www.storietime.com/gsy/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=20294

Oh dear Sad

Why would you camp a station in a ship with no tank?

Why would you not deagress when your target docks and reappears in a ship with a massive tank (i.e. the devoter) and no dps?

Why would you not deagress when local jumped by 10?

Shocked

*MY* question for Syndicate is what's going on with Bruce? We keep hearing Huzzah hunting down cloaked Brucies trying to move back into PC9?

Bruce have been jumping carriers into Iges and then running gear and shit in blockade runners into high sec from Slays to Stacmon pretty much 23/7 now. When we're around in any numbers they all hide in station, when we have a couple of ceptors running around during our low pop time they all of a sudden come up with a respectably sized gang.

*shrug*

I just wish some of the ones I've killed dropped decent loot.

"lolz" (which, by the way, is really a stupid expression) all you want, we've still maintained a 2.5:1 k/d ratio running mostly light ships and doing everything we could to get you to fight, including offering sacrificial lambs.

I was only speaking for my corp which fought you in our own small gangs, I couldnt give two shits how many haulers and solo travelers you ganked from Bruce. You act like the people you war decced for the sole purpose of getting easy ganks in empire are supposed to give a shit about giving you any 'gfs'. Im sure they have higher priorities right now.

You didnt have a '2.5:1' mighty k/d ratio against my corp, which is who I was speaking for as we were operating in the iges area for a short time while transitioning out of Bruce. War decing a 0.0 entity is for solo ganks, dont expect fleet fights.

War Dec'ing a broken entity has nothing to do with gf.

Will be interesting to see in 3-6 months if BRUCE can rebuild, and what the forum posts will be like then. My prediction is that we'll see stuff like "Man those BRUCE guys are so lame, they brought 2000 ppl to fight our 5 man gang when we wanted a gf!" and all this will be long ignored.

You War Dec someone broken to finish them off or just for random hatred. As long as that's what you're claiming then hey, have fun.
