Quick battle report: Goons and Friends reinforced 4 Tri towers in Pure Blind. 3 Came out tonight, small Tri gang (20 or so) waiting in the dead end system. Goons arrived just as the first POS came out of reinforced.
Goons had a scout in system for 2+ hours so they were able to asses the battlefield and saw we had 2 Moms in system. Goon gang of 25 or so arrived at the gate. Tri snipers warped to a pounce, as the Goons cov-ops drops a probe. Cov-Ops lands a hit I assume and the Goons gang jumps in.
Cloaked dictor drops a bubble, a DD is launched by the Titan on grid.

Snipers move in and mop up a single battleship stuck on the gate. 5 Goon BS's got out, and did a very good job at cycling safespots and avoiding being probed out before finally logging.

What exactly is their goal up in PB lately? Seen quite a gew goon kills and losses on the Tri KB in the last couple days. I'm gunna assume its just a small few guys who wanted to poke around somewhere else other than down south for a little bit? |

I would imagine thats the most likely explanation given that "so far" the Branch retake attempt by coalition has stuterred to a halt RZR/MM and friends will hope that they can use divide and conquer I imagine.

RZR+MM+Friends had a gang shooting at a POS in Z-K, we bridged some nano support in and they retreated to BKG with a few losses. So we camped the gate.
Trisurgency had a gang that went from 70-150 as the night went on in Z-K with RZR+MM+friends in BKG with local well over 300 for most of the time. After sitting on opposite sides of the gate for a while they went off to shoot some POS somewhere thats not of particular importance, instead of giving pewpew.
Pretty boring night so far.
Also BKG is one hell of a laggy system with even just 50 people in it and no pew pew going on

This may be a bit too ::tinfoil:: for here but...
My thought was that their actions were a result of either a quasi-merc contract or encouragement from a few recently ex-TRI. Not neccesarily the corps themselves, but maybe a few disgruntled members. With them hitting moon mining POSes rather than any kind of attempt towards sov. it seems a bit suspicious. Who knows though, I doubt I ever will.

Well, if this means that Phalanx Alliance will be mostly hanging out in Empire, it will take them out of our hair whenever we pass through Venal.
Have fun I suppose, and good luck finding targets. If you find any, blow them up please as they should be up North and not in Empire.

I had a freighter cruising next to a RZR freighter in empire today, so maybe not :p
